Can i underclock a sager?

Hey i have a p775tm1 8700k on the way. And learned recently has limited bios without prema, not sure if has option to change cpu multiplier.and voltage. Will i have ability if needed to underclock within sager bios or windows app?

 

Yes you can undervolt/underclock it on the stock firmware if you wish.

 

I believe the stock Clevo BIOS although severely limited, does now offer the option to undervolt and control the CPU clock speeds.

Additionally, you can also achieve this by using XTU.

Thats good to hear. Clock and voltage control is what i need most. If those are on stock bios Curious what is missing vs prema bios?

a whole lot my friend. Those menus are just basic, if you ever see the Prema BIOS. you will be shocked with how much control/options/customization you have. Even some desktop PC motherboards don't have all the options that are in the Prema BIOS

Thats some nice tweakabilty there, but from.what u guys said "Restores user ability to overclock or underclock the CPU" think u should have this ability in stock bios

Yes, the stock BIOS now has that built in to set the sign negative for voltage.

There are some other bits and pieces like ram speed and most of the timings are in the stock bios too.
