What need from you guys is I need help finding an accessory for my incoming laptop. I'll try to explain best as I can what I'm looking for because I don't know what the heck it would be called. What I'm looking for is something to plug my mouse and keyboard into and that would connect to my laptop via Bluetooth. It would be basically a USB dock of sorts.

Not quite, what I want is something I can connect my USB mouse and USB keyboard into and connect to them via the built-in Bluetooth in my laptop.

Do you mean a USB HUB that connects to the laptop via bluetooth? So you could sit the USB HUB on your lounge or whatever away from the laptop for like, media purposes?

If this is the case I would suggest just getting a bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo. Logitech offer a few, nanotec offer a mini one which is handy.

Does this make any sense to you guys? He wants a USB hub to plug his keyboard and mouse to that works with the bluetooth, but the USB hub has to be powered... and would need drivers on the laptop for the keyboard and mouse to function, means that USB hub would have to be plugged into the laptop...

Does this make sense to anyone or am I missing something?

You know Logitech makes Wireless mice and keyboards that only use one USB receiver for both? It's called Logitech Unifying Receiver. Google it.

Wasn't trying to be rude, it just didn't make sense to me. Was inquiring if I was missing something.

My suggestion, Google Logitech Unifying Receiver. You can connect up to 6 Logitech wireless devices to it I believe.

My whole I idea would be to keep this at my desk, it would have my keyboard and mouse plugged in. The Bluetooth hub would be plugged into an outlit. Then when I'd get home I'd place my laptop on my desk and connect to it via bluetooth

Or you can just use a Logitech receiver on your one USB 2.0, leaving the other 3 USB 3.0 on the left side free for anything you want. This would work for all your Logitech products, including game controllers I believe.

Oh and the Logitech unifying receiver is more more responsive and better than any bluetooth solution.

I don't think this exists. I don't think it would even really be possible to exist.

You have four USB ports, what's of the point in having them if you don't use them? You can either use the Logitech unified receiver, which is what I use, or get a powered USB hub that connects into one USB port and then you can connect all your USB devices into that.

The Logitech receiver is tiny. It sticks out about .5 cm from the laptop and you can use all your Logitech devices with it. It sounds like you are only connecting a mouse and keyboard, which is perfect.

As for a USB hub, I have this one for my desktop that works perfectly. It connects into one USB port and has a power adapter that connects into a wall socket. I then get 10 additional USB ports for the cost of one. You could stick it on your desk plugged into the wall, and when you bring your laptop home, just connect the Hub to your laptop and you can use all your USB devices. Although that admittedly is a hassle and would be a tangle of wires.
