Been scouring these boards for an answer to the question.

I know that there is a problem with getting 3DTV Play to work because of the intelHD4000 graphics.

I just ordered an EON17S from Origin, with a 680m. I am really bummed that I won't be able to play games in 3D on my Samsung LED TV...However, when you use HDMI out, can you at least play games off of the GPU??

If you can't, is it the same with the 7970m??

Anybody that has an 9170 or 9150 know for sure?

Thanks in advance...This is something I could do with my M17x, and I am really hoping that I can play on my big tv with this beast of a CPU/GPU combo.

I hook up the tv all the time, not just for games, but films. Works great.

Yes, you can hook them up through HDMI. This is no different than setting up an external monitor.

    Awesome, nice.

Now I wonder if that post I read about 3DTV play was false...I'll be getting it in about two weeks and will repost on this thread.

    Thanks for the info
