    Alright...

we are referring to a Sager NP5790 here, MY NP5790.

''haha that is not 2600$ new you just arent good at shopping around Sager is a generic brand.

I know how the performance measures up as well, I have been in the IT industry and have worked at Nvidia, Intel, among other places.

Good luck sorry to bother you! If you do eventually get tired of cheapskates or scammers leading you on and wanting you to jump through hoops keep me in mind, I have cash in hand and can drive to your house at the drop of a hat to pick it up!

    Peace Out.''

    isn't this funny? lol

lol... the guy has obviously not done his homework... criticizing your beast of a laptop like that. There is irony in this!

(You do kind of need to do more than your average amount of research though to find out about the "sager" brand. It actually took awhile for me to find out about it too) You can't exactly go and google "cheap notebooks" or "powerful laptops" to get anywhere. :)

The only way he can get a new 5790 with a considerably lower price is if he got it barebones. Almost no other way other than waiting for prices to drop... not like they will drop much though.

a guy is saying to me that a 2600 dollar price tag on the Sager NP5790 is a complete rip-off, I am trying to prove him wrong...wait...I know he's wrong, ^_^.

tell him to configure an Alienware similarly. The 5790 i configured on rjtech cost $2400. The alienware, with a lower res screen cost $2700. I bet the price diverges as the sager gets more ass kicking.

20-70% discount? That's a lie right there. Unless his retailer is selling at a lost. I've seen prices that major retailer pay for their inventory and most mark up are not even 20%, which is why sometime they are very pushy about the extended warranty.

I noticed this too. When doing some shopping around the 1700 barebones drew me in, soon after tweaking the config a little it was up to 2600! (im a psycho warrenty freak really bumped up cost) ;P
