I don't know what happened but when I turned on my laptop, it was on brightest. I tried lowering it with FN + F8 and I see the hotkey display on the top left with the brightness on the highest but it won't move at all. I tried going to power option to change the brightness there but there is no bar to change the brightness.

I've reinstalled hotkey, updated graphic driver to 11.8 yet the problem still remains.

    Can anyone help me ?

    Fixed.

A program called LogMeIn changes the brightness settings. uninstalled it and it works fine.

Odd, LogMeIn doesn't do that for me.
