So I have a new 50 inch LED HDTV that I had bought recently and I wanted to use it as my main screen for doing things like streaming movies, doing homework, etc. However, I am having trouble finding the correct resolution so that my desktop fits in the TV. I've tried duplicating the screen, using the native resolution of my laptop, and using the TV as a default screen (used the native/recommended resolution of the TV). I have also tried using other resolutions between the laptop and the TV and still none of them work. The one thing I haven't tried yet was using a VGA connection so that it uses the Nvidia graphics card rather than the Intel. Another idea I thought of using was getting a VGA to HDMI adapter to see if that would work. Although I am pretty sure that there are other threads about this issue, I can't seem to find the answer. If there are other ideas or something I had missed, any help would be much appreciated :D
