    Might be a dumb question. But I just installed the latest drivers for the Radeon HD 6970m but I still can't get the native 1020x1084 resolution. Help?

    ^^ are you sure you're attempting the right resolution. you posted 2 different ones, one in your title, and another one in your OP. Check to see if you can change your resolution into 1920x1080.
