I play gmod and stuff, but when I try to talk everyone says I'm really quiet. I went into the windows thing and boosted the mic all the way up, and theres no mic boost option in my Realtek Control panel.
I recorded (I was making a video)
and with everything on full I could BARELY hear myself.
Anyone know how to fix this?
I'm running XP

Have you taken the mute off?
-
.........Yes...........
Still doesnt work, just got my headset today -
are you talking about the external mic or the mic through your headset?
-
Neither of htem work, the external is built into my laptop, but neither of work, they are both really quiet
-
In the volume controls for the mic have you tried clicking on advanced and then selecting +20db Boost?
-
There are no volume controls for the microphone in the Realtek Control Panel, and the standard windows one has no bearing.
The only time i can hear myself is if i push boost all the way up in gmod, but i want to do voiceovers for my videos -
i am having the same issues with my 9262. internal mic is too low and hooking up an external mic is too low as well. i can barely hear myself and doesn't seem like others can hear me during video chat...
no solutions yet? i can't find the mic boost either. -
Have you tried inputing the mike through different jacks using the Realtek program?
-
the mic was in the proper jack. i think i found the answer. in the realtek audio manager, under the mixer tab i found the pink line and mic line. i turned them up and enabled mic boost. that should do it. i just have to test it next time i video chat.
these realtek drivers are very sneaky. they seem to disable the mic boost and mic volumes within windows sound devices and can only be tampered with realtek sound manager itself. -
Thanks! That worked, I had only glanced at mixer, and now I can record sound for my videos, thanks a lot man, this is really great.
Can't get my mic to work on Sager NP5792
