Ok, so I thought for sure i was just going to get the sager 8760-s1 after deciding between that and the 8690-s1. But now I'm really torn. I thought well if I'm going to go for a 17 inch I might as well go all out. Now I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the sager 8850 with an i7-740, intel 6300 wireless, ic thermal and a basic 500gb 7200 hd. Basicially i want to be set for the future (even though I know the game is always changing in the technology world). Especially since the 460m supposedly can barely perform as well as the 5870.

So my question here is, is the 8850 worth the extra $250 over the 8760-s1 even though I'm losing 4 gb of ram, blu-ray drive, and hybrid momentus xt drive, but gaining the 480m?

Also open for suggestions on other laptops.
