Hi all, I will soon be replacing my old laptop and I have boiled it down to two options.

The Eurocom SKY M5 R2 and the Sager NP8155 from reflexnotebook. At first glance of these two models, I'm pretty sure they share the same Clevo chasis. I will post my configuration down below, however I will be writing down the main differences at the bottom.

    Here are the main differences:
    1) Eurocom display comes with G-SYNC while the Sager one does not.
    2) Sager laptop is Nvidia gtx 1060 3 GB, while Eurocom is Nvidia gtx 1060 6 GB
    3) Sager laptop has the newest 17-7700HQ processor while Eurocom has the i7-6700HQ processor
    4) Eurocom uses diamond thermal compound paste (not sure if true)
    5) Eurcomm has only a 500 GB HDD while Sager a full 1000 GB HDD

The rest share a similar configuration with the same configuration of the same SSD and no OS installed.

With all that info, essentially these two cost the exact same with the Eurocom edging out $10 cheaper after taxes/shipping/discount etc.

So now, I am kind of torn into which of these companies I want to go with. They have their pros and cons respectively, however I really don't know who to go with. Reflex seems more reputable and I have seen them online in several places, however I have seen Eurocom mentioned here and there with lots of success.

If anyone has any input on which of these two companies, as well as configuration wise which would be better, that would be greatly appreciated!

G-Sync doesn't work with Nvidia Optimus . So if you don't really care about battery life then Eurocom will be a better choice
I would personally prefer the Eurocom because 6GB VRam is more future proof than 3GB and Kaby Lake is only 1% faster than Sky Lake....

We offer Sky MX5 R2 with 7700HQ and 7820HK CPUs and GTX 1070 GPU. Since this model uses BGA / onboard GPU and CPU I would suggest that you get the highest possible GPU and CPU so you can use your laptop for long time.

That is to say that G-Sync won't work in "MSHYBRID" mode. Under "DISCRETE" mode, G-Sync does work.

What ? Are you saying GSync laptop can use integrated GPU when it's in idle mode ? You seem to have misunderstood what I was saying
