Im in the final stages of deciding between the Np170hm/I7 2720/amd 6990
    and an MSI GT780DX/GTX570

Ive never had this much pause. something keeps me going back to the MSI, but i want the power of the 6990. Im in iraq and cant exactly call up buddies to let me get my grubby paws on their clevos and MSI's..........

as if i dont have enough stress with iraq and a dead gaming laptop already!!!#$%!#$%!#$%!! lol i even started playing a console(shudders) to get my gaming fix.....

Going to be biased of course, but what draws you to the MSI over the Clevo's? Lets start with that =)

nagging feeling in the back of my head----but for just a tad more the Clevo has a huge lead in available power. and the fact that the i7 2720 option is only 150$ vs $350 for the MSI i guess im just trying to seal the deal in my head.

i guess the only things that were great about the MSI was the matte screen and good speakers.........but thats what a 56' TV is for and headphones on the go right?

Don't know which places you've been looking at, but if you want a matte screen on a 17" thats no problem we do that on our Nyx 1711 (P170) =) speakers, the speakers on the 1711 are actually really good for a lappy.

Yes, for the 17". However, if you choose the 15", the matte screen is only $40, (seems kind of weird to me.) If you choose to get 95% gamut, upgrading glossy is only $45, and upgrading matte is $95. Both much cheaper than upgrading an 17".

All our screen options are a flat $120 17 or 15's. Remember we aren't a sager reseller, we build our own (From Clevo shells) so our prices are different, like our 2630->2720qm upgrade is like $25 :)
