    I have a 300w inverter but it only works when I have it in sleep mode. Has anyone tried using this thing on the go?

    Have you checked your car's wiring is up for the task and that the battery wont be killed by a high sustained load?

    Check to see if your inverter is 300w continuous power, or if it is 300w peak performance. It might be rated for 150w continuous usage, but can max out at 300w for short durations like a couple of seconds possibly.

    This i had a similar problem, winded up getting a better and not very expensive energizer, i own the 500W and 4000W models for work.
