I'm having issues getting certain driver releases to work for my 5870 in my 8760. The ones offered by Clevo and Sager work, but they're very old so I don't want to use them. I've also been able to get various releases directly from AMD to work. However, this is not the case for all releases. For example, I cannot get the new 10.10 drivers to work at all. The setup only allows me to install the CCC, the HDMI audio driver, and other crap. It doesn't let me install the actual display driver. I've tried to manually install them and I'm not having any luck with that either. And this is after a fresh install of Windows 7.

Has anyone else had issues like this?

Ugh. I wonder if I didn't somehow download the desktop version of the drivers. I used the small auto-download util this time and it looks like it's going to work...

I notice the file I was using before didn't have the word mobility in it like the auto-downloaded one does. :p
