Hi! My computer nowdays complain about the date not matching the date of when the HD was last mounted (date seems to reset to 2007 or something like that). I guess it is because the CMOS battery needs to be changed.

My guess is that it should be somewhere under the keyboard. But how do I lift the keyboard up? The user manual says nothing about how to do this. I've found the user manual for the M75XA and it tells me to press three keyboard latches and indeed there are three such latches in my keyboard but pressing one (lifting it) does not do anything. Do I somehow need to lift all three at once? Maybe this just isn't enough for the smaller Clevo laptops such as mine?

Service manual in my sig, the CMOS battery connector is next to your RAM slots just under the edge of the main casing - see page 24. You may have to take the whole case apart or you may just be able to get to it without doing so - it looks a bit tight.

Thanks! How does such a CMOS connector work? How do I remove the battery from it? It's like two very thin metal plates that are glued against each side of the battery. It is impossible to remove them! It looks like this model (the plates are right under the yellow plastic):

Unfortunately I think that you can't remove the battery only and the whole assembly needs to be replaced.
