That would be an interesting mod. You would have to find out yourself, as I don't think many people have done such a thing... in the end it might simply be better to just buy an external webcam.

I do not like to think of it as "voiding the warranty", rather more as... misunderstanding from close minded resellers. People who are used to "playing" with desktop hardware... just feel the need to do the same with their notebooks.

I would actually like to know how many people have successfully opened, modified/replaced parts, and put back together the D900F's LCD frame.

Ive repaired older laptop lcd panels in the past, like an old IBM Thinkpad whose LCD ribbon cable needed to be reseated.

I would love to be able to find a 120hz LCD panel that could fit into the D900F, so I could do the whole Nvidia 3D Vision thing. Ive already got the glasses and such for use with my Desktop computer, and love it. Ive heard that the GTX 280M that comes with the D900F is not suitable for Nvidia 3D Vision, something about lacking a dual link DVI... but I can always dream about my D900F besting what ever ASUS is doing with their laptops, right?

I was just gonna post about that man!

120Hz goodness so 3D Vision all the way :)
I bet that we could make it fit somehow, it would be expensive mind you... especially because its a brand new laptop and thus there wont be many parts up for sale id imagine, unless you find out the OEM for the screens, still looking for this camera though...
