Is there any way to change the hotkey bitmaps, or to use another hotkey program instead of the one supplied by Clevo? Honestly, the bitmaps themselves are ugly, but more than that, they will glitch every time something is re-drawn in the screen, in the place that the bitmap is supposed to be. Are there any alternatives?

you could try the hotkey drivers from the m980nu. using those replaces the default bitmaps. You can remove the lightshow from the startup, as these is (I assume) reserved for controling the lights of the keyboard in the M980NU.

Thanks ChinNoobonic. Installed the m980 hotkeys and the pictures/bitmaps look alot cleaner.

Thanks for your advice, these hotkeys are infinitely better. It's still a shame Clevo won't let you change the bitmaps but, oh well, better than nothing, right?
Thanks -

Do you think that the vista hotkey driver would work with xp?

not too sure. you could try.

Has anyone tried though?

Thanks for this post, has been wondering alot about the hotkey driver -
the lightshow is just for the lighting on the m980nu keyboard so we wont need that part of the hotkey, so you need to take it from startup. it uses minimal memory, the same amount the original drivers use.

Just installed here. Seems to be a later version of Hotkey, M860TU is 2.0403 the one for m980nu is 2.0527, i hope it makes no damage to the system.
Removing lightning effects was just to remove the shortcut in autostart.
Both drivers uses around 20mb ram.. quite alot for such a basic app.. i hope there will be improvments to it.
