    Hi all,

I just opened up my np8660 too look at my hdd (i think it's dying). I couldn't figure out how to get it out. It seems to be jammed in there pretty good.

Can anyone enlighten me on how to get the hdd out?

    Thanks!

Grab the black tab on the HDD and pull straight up. It will take a little force but will work.

There are two screws and you can pull it out. Then there are two screws on the hdd itself to get off the "plate". Screw this plate on the new hdd and screw in the two first screws on the plate to the laptop.
