I changed my P950HR's 120Hz TN panel (30 pin edp) to a 144 Hz IPS panel (40 pin edp), and all works fine, except the brightness makes no change to the screen.
I'm wondering if there is some way to make brightness work on other panels than the stock (or stock-compatible) ones?

It's based off the Intel drivers so worth re-installing that.

It might be that the panel uses a different brightness scheme. Which one exactly was it?

New IPS: B156HAN07.1
If using different brightness schemes, I presume then there is no workaround? -
Could the panel perhaps not be whitelisted in the bios?

It's not listing, it can literally be a different control scheme electrically.

Find both panels datasheets, see where in the original panel was the input for the brightness PWM signal, see on what pin it is now, bridge both if its possible(if it doesn't cause a short into a power rail in the new panel).
