    You gotta remember this is a 15.4'', hence the price.

    You can get 8800M GTX SLI for that price on a 17 though

    Yeah, I just asked. The np5793 chassis will only apply to orders made on or after the 14th. :(

    Not orders shipping the 14th as there may be additional costs.

    But you ordered before the 14th. The np5793 applies only to orders made after the 14th, not orders shipping after the 14th. I'm in the same predicament as you are. Meh - np5792 should be fine for non-extreme processors.

    I configured an m15x with as close to the specs of the XR5 I ordered and the price was $4250... without taxes... $4595 after taxes. That is over $100 more that I spent on the XR5 in my sig.

    But I get a Quad core... dual 8800's... and a 17' screen.

    That puts the m17x in at around $6k after taxes.

    Pretty expensive light show.
