The title pretty much sums it up, here are a couple of shots I found by skimming over the chinese sites. the performance is very promising indeed. I thought this would be nice for those who are still waiting for the 7970 :)
for those who are apt at reading chinese here is the direct link to the site

if that 20000 3Dmark score is real for the GTX680 I'd say what a pity :( :( they'd better step it up a notch.

NICE mobile gpus are at the point where they can play all the games at max at 1080p at good fps! Though one thing, the title of your thread seems like the GTX 675m and 560m are the same. The GTX 675m = GTX 580m. That is all.

yea I know the 675 is a 580, what I meant was 560m to 675m. check the first post :) I got some screens (I hope to find more on this) of the gtx680m benched in 3DMark 11 (stock and Oc'ed).

Official specs are out at the AMD website too. 7700m, 7800m

The desktop 7770, which the 7870m is based off of, scores around 3150 in 3dmark11 (graphics only). The 7770 is clocked 20% lower, so it should score around 2500, which puts it at around 10% faster than the 660m, which scores around 2300.

Yes the 7700m and 7800m are on AMD's site. one interresting thing is that the HD4000 on the new processors are pretty fast themselves too, completely replacing out the 630/540 nvidias with fewer transistor counts. Who knows maybe next year intel will pop back in the GFX game and replace the lower end to mid range (dare I dream) graphics solutions for us laptop users. :)

When will the lower numbered 7xxx series become available? Or is the 7970 the only option outside of Nvidia for the foreseeable future?

I guess the effort is appreciated, but every single image in the first post was already in the other 600M/7000M discussion threads ages ago. Even the 680M Futuremark run is almost a month old. Sorry.
It's cheating to not max out the 7950's overclock as well. It can hit 1Ghz easily, at which point their biased result becomes moot.

You can't deny the beastliness of the 7970M, though.

The most we managed to squeeze out of one was 20% overclocking. Anything higher wound up artifacting and crashing the system.

Does it run hot to the point that it would shorten the lifespan of it? Do you think the GTX 670m can OC more than 20% safely?

I want to OC 15-30% if I can anywhere in that range with the 675 or 670 I'd be happy; but I'm not sure if it will shorten the lifespan of the card or not?

Thanks for the help though +REP for sure!

temps with our 20% OC were hovering around 89-91C. Not too bad really.

Overclocking may shorten the lifespan a little, I really can't say how much but it generally is due to the heat.

Gah; I feel like the 670m is better value for your money compared to the 675m; considering it only hits low 70's while gaming it could OC 20% up to 675m speeds and be about the same temp as a stock 675m?

Not really, considering the 675M upgrade over the 670M was a complete steal, as previously the 570M -> 580M was about $400 for higher clocks.

$180 for a 15-20% performance increase in FPS is pretty weak.

I'm just going to have to wait for the 7970m, I got it for a $250 upgrade from GTX 660m because I pre ordered May 1, but now it's delayed and I have to wait a few more weeks even....

But $250 for a 60% performance increase is much better :p

I really want to be able to play BF3 Ultra at 1080p, and next year be able to run new games on High; and when Unreal Engine 4 games come out I want to play on Medium at least :/ Might have to get a desktop in 2 years for that though haha.
