Sorry everyone you can ignore this post. Me being American and ignorant had my temps set on Fahrenheit(insert jokes here), and i thought that my temps were way to hot as to what i was supposed to be getting. With the help of @Phoenix, We have tested the CPU and gotten awesome results with out him altering anything that HID did. HID did a great job with this machine, and had great customer service.

Hello Oromeh. The first thing you need to do is download Hwinfo and throttlestop. Hwinfo will show you the temps of your CPU/GPU and more. Throttlestop will allow you to change the voltage. When you have downloaded those free programs (make sure to donate, especially to the developer of Throttlestop if you find it helps you), come back and I'll help you further.

The P775DM3 can run very hot (take a look at the official thread) but it can be a beast of a laptop in the right hands. I will get mine sometime in mid March.

I'm on my phone now I can surely help you tomorrow

Did HIDevolution install the Prema BIOS for you? Ill guide you step by step how to use it and undervolt your CPU a little bit. much better than using Throttle Stop

So I logged in to @Oromeh 's laptop to help him

he did not have any overheating issues, he just misread the temps he had them in Fahrenheit so he thought his CPU was overheating. I then copied over my pre-configured HWiNFO folder which has the temps in Celsius and the max temps under a long AIDA64 stress test were 79C-82C it's very good actually thanks to the fact that it's delidded :)

    Enjoy your new beast bro!

Whoops, but then again, even space agencies have muddled up units in the past.

What are your temps while gaming for long sessions, like 4hrs or so? I really want to buy one of these from HID but I'm very concerned about temps on the CPU/GPU. Do you have a 1070 or 1080 and does it throttle at all?

I've been running at around 78 on GPU 1080 and about 74-78 cpu on average in hwinfo. I've also been playing on my lap so I assume cooling will be better on a desk.

Me really dreams of sweet temperatures like those man....

At least I'm glad you manage to sort things out!

Those are crazy good temps. What games are playing at what settings? Did you undervolt the GPU to get those temps?

Remember the environment the machine is in can have an impact too.

Right now I've only played shadows of mordor on ultra 1440p 120 hz and deus ex mankind divided. the guys at HID did an undervolt for me on the cpu, but I think the gpu remains untouched, how would I go about checking that?

The GPU can't really be adjusted without MSI afterburner as a purely software solution.

True, but undervolting the GPU in afterburner tremendously helps the 1080 stay cool in most notebooks.

I don't remember exactly how to go about it, but you end up forcing the GPU the undervolt and run at a rated clock speed, think linear graph. You'd have to do this every time you play a game or the GPU will run at the frequency that you set it at. I read about how to do it on a P775 forum page and how they basically have to in order keep it cool with a 1080 so it doesn't throttle.

Those are impressive temps though with playing Dues Ex. Did you have HID apply the liquid metal to the CPU heatsink as well or just the IC diamond?

With everything stock and max fans, it stays at around 75 C though... it is not so bad
