I am the new owner of an OCZ avenger AG2 DIY kit and I am looking for some advice please. First of all, is there a source for the latest BIOS? OCZ does not have this model on their support page, but I am hoping it is OK to cross flash this from the Cleo or Sager versions. My first question is if anyone knows if this is possible/known?

my second question is if anyone knowns about CPU compatibility. As a Santa Rosa, I expect most any socket P up to 800bus should work, but I am worried about BIOS support for later CPU like the T3400, T4200, T4300, t4400 T6400 T6600 etc.

    Thanks in advance!

The latest BIOS for the M72xR is 1.00.14 and the latest KBC/EC firmware is 1.00.08. These should be compatible with any branded version.

The service manual is in my sig if you want to have a look, but it doesn't give much info on CPU support.

If you want to flash the BIOS/EC here are the files, but make sure you flash the EC FIRST.
    EC .08
    BIOS 1.14

Thanks very much, I was not sure that the M72R actually qualified as a M72XR since, well, usually the X stands for any digit, there was no digit in the X place.

It looks like that site is down, but I will try it later again.

The x is a colour/trim code and is omitted from the model stickers on the unit.

I have rehosted the bios files for you on mediafire:
    EC .08
    BIOS 1.14

Thanks again. From the date on the BIOS (12-2008) I think it is a safe bet that all CPU up to 2008 should be safe and there is even a reasonable likelihood that CPU from early 2009 should be supported, since CPU support is commonly added.
