Alternatively you could order your system with the specs you want and then install your own QHD panel for `$150.

That might be your best bet, panels are not too tricky to swap.

Could you point me to which panels work with which models?

    Are there any adhesives involved?

Depends on a few things. Which panels are sized right and would need your current panel info to look at sizing / pins needed. If G-Sync is involved it gets a bit more involved as there are whitelists that need to be verified if you care about GS.

Not usually but, there may be some double sided tape which with some pressure and patience just comes loose and can be reused with the new panel.

In general it's more time consuming doing the research on panels than it is to actually order it / replace it. I can get you within a best guess range of a couple of panels though depending on what you're looking for and point you to kreplacement.com to e-mail them for a specific model. There's a lot of vendors that like to substitute "compatible" models for higher spec / price and pocket the difference. If you're in a region that has a VAT or something like that having the specific model in mind helps find a regional dealer that can help.

Since it's a Clevo you'll want to bookmark - https://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/ UN/PW: repo you can find the models that shipped with the laptop in the service manual from that site and get an idea of the need for a different cable / different panel specs.
