I'm pretty sure my Clevo 170SM's GPU (nVidia GTX 860M) has just been fried. It gave me a BSOD when playing a game, and computer won't load with it enabled now. With it disabled it works just fine.
It is still under warranty so I could send it back to XoticPC, but unfortunately, I use the computer for work and can't go without the computer for the 2-4 weeks it would take to resolve, and I don't want to buy a stand-in machine just for under a month. I asked if I could send them just the graphics card, but that's not allowed under their policy.
Any tips on how I should find and install a replacement? I haven't seen any resources online for this particular model.

Have a look over a tech inferno and prema mod, you can download the latest bios and grab something like a 970M as a replacement.

I am sorry to hear about the video card problems. The only way to get it fixed without having to buy a temp computer or replacement GPU would be to send it in for repair. I understand that can be a hassle to do. Sager does help shorten then by paying for 3 day shipping both ways instead of UPS ground. To open up a RMA request you can do so on our website on the top right by clicking "Contact"

Many people defer to eBay for replacement MXM cards. If you go the DIY route, just be sure to replace your current card with another Clevo NVIDIA one! That's your safest option and the least likely to be of hassle to configure. Utilizing the warranty is your least expensive option, albeit the downtime.
Best of luck with whichever avenue you take, PabloSkarsgard. -
