Is there really any diffrence between the Clevo 570A, NP5720and Metabox 730s among many others (why buy one over an other)?

As the Clevo 570A base is used in so many versions is it easly upgradable? Change cpu and gpu at a latter date or is this something that can only be done at the factory?

Do you think it would be worth while to increase the speed of the Pentium-M 1.60Ghz to 1.8 for $100.00?

Has any one heard if intel dual cores are being considered as an option?

    Thanks

Well, the CPU upgrade will void your warranty, keep that in mind.

The Sager NP-5720 and the Clevo M570A are the same notebook, yes - not sure what the Metabox 730 is, but if it looks like an M570A, then it is one. I don't know of any other notebooks that look like that on the market.

Dual core is not compatible with the M570A. There will be an update to that model line in a few months, which will include the Duo.

It is possible to upgrade the GPU yourself; however, there is nothing you can upgrade to right now (7800GTX is the best).

As for upgrading the CPU - what is your budget and needs?

I am wondering if the higher CPU speeds make a noticeable difference in normal and when gameing?

Well, it depends on your budget. I would go for the 1.86GHz processor, that is the best price/performance. Anything over 2.0 is a ripoff as far as price/performance is concerned.

I've been doing heavy gaming on a 1.86GHz for over five months, works beautifully.
