    Hi,

So I have been waiting for the Eurocom M570RU to have the option of the Quadro 1600M cards ( I am exclusively running graphics and modeling programs with OpenGL)

At the first week of Jan. 2008 they finally posted on the website it was available and I ordered right away..... BUT! i was informed the cards have been delayed with no ETA.

So I have reviewed all the options with the Quadro Cards and am only looking at the Clevo's... not going to go with Dell.......

One option that has come up is with the Eurocom D900C Phantom-x

There is a price premium for this model but i may be able to afford it. My question is, how much would a quad-core notebook benefit 3d modeling/graphics/adobe-suite CS3 work... escpecially rendering in programs like Rhino and 3d Max?

Also, must I have a 64-bit OS to take full advantage of 4GB of Ram?
so Windows XP 64bit ( i dont want vista), but the Phantom X doesnt come with the option of XP 64-bit. SO if I have 32bit Windows I will only be able to use 3GB of Memory?

Also, anyone have other suggestions of notebooks for graphics?
I have reviewed these models: Thinkpad t61p, Dell 6300, EUROCOM M57RU DIVINE-X, HP 8710w and have figured the price for comparable components are close to the Quad-core Phantom-X... In your opinion which would you choose?

3ds Max supports multicore so definitely go quadcore.
    Yes
Yes, around 3.2gb if 4gb is installed
if price doesn't vary much or you don't mind paying for the performance, I'd go for the Quad Core Phantom-X. It'll be worth the wait over the others workstations you listed.
