I recently bought a Deviltech 9000 DTX (based on the clevo 860TU) barebones.

    This is the setup:
    Bildschirm: 15,4" WSXGA 1680 x 1050 LCD-Widescreen mit Non-Glare-Technologie
Betriebssystem: Microsoft Windows 7® Home Premium
Garantie: DevilCare: 2 Jahre DevilCare und 2 Jahre Garantie
    Prozessor: Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor P9700 / 6MB L2 Cache, 2.80GHz, 1066MHz FSB
    Speicher: 4 GB - 2 x 2048 MB Hochleistung - DDR3 SDRAM mit 1333 MHz
Grafikkarte: NVidia GeForce GTX 260M mit 1 GB DDR3 Speicher und DirectX 10
    Festplatte: 250 GB 7.200 U/Min SATA
    CD DVD Blu-Ray: DVD-Brenner: 8x Dual Layer DVD+/-RW / 24x CD-RW Combo
Kommunikation: Integriertes 10/1000Mb Gigabit Ethernet und 56K V.92 Modem
    Soundkarte: Intel® High-Definition Audio (24-bit, 192KHz) mit Surround Sound
Wireless Netzwerkkarte: Intel Wi-Fi Link 5100AGN Modul

When it arrived i put in the battery and tried to boot it. This was not working so i plugged in the ac as well and then the laptop booted without any problem.
I plugged in the network cable and it started installing the network, when all of the sudden the laptop shut down.
I tried booting it again, but about 2 seconds after pressing the power button it starts beeping and the numlock and caplock LEDs start blinking.
After about 1 minut it shuts down, no matter what i do. Try booting in safety mode, from dvd, even when i'm just in the bios it shuts down.
Tried resetting the bios, tried running it without battery and just the ac.
    Nothing helped.

I left the laptop then for 15 minutes or so. And when I tried to boot it again, it started without any trouble. No sound, no blinking leds.
Also later that evening, no trouble with the laptop.

Today i try to boot the laptop with the ac unplugged. Same problem starts again ...
    Beeping, flashing LEDs.
With or without ac plugged in, doesn't make a difference.

Anyone has any idea what the problem might be? :D

Thanks in advance for the help!

I'm getting a bit desperate. I'm considering resending it to the shop, but in 1 week i'm going abroad for 6 months+, so it would be alot easier if I could fix it myself :p

Battery should be charged. It stayed a whole night plugged in the ac. And the battery LED is colored green.

I tried booting it again now (after about 30 minuts rest).

It booted without any sound or blinking leds, but after it was booted for 1 minut, CAP and NUM lock leds started blinking and about 30 seconds later, laptop shutted down.

    Spooky stuff :D

I let it rest again for a while.

Was able to boot it up and installed fan speed and and cpu-z.

CPU cores were at about 30°C, GPU was at 44°C. Seems ok to me?
Fan speed didn't show any fans tho

Is there a better program to monitor the fans?

Laptop shut down after about 10 minuts. No change in temperature.

Why don't you just call your reseller?

The probably forgot to link some connectors, it's impossible to tell unless you take the screw driver and open it up.

Most retailers have 24/7 support, either through them or a 3rd party company, are you sure yours doesn't ?

I had this exact issue with mine when I first got it. I sent it in for repair (for the beeping, plus the fact my headphone jack broke) and they were apparently unable to replicate the beeping. But I noticed that in addition to repairing the headphone jack, they re-applied the thermal gel, and ever since then I've never had problems with it.

Mysteriously enough, the problem seems to be gone today.

I ran some cryengine mmorpg, without a problem. Downloading 3dmark06 now to grill it a bit and see if it can finish without any problems.

    Weird stuff!
