Is anything showing up in your event logs that seems to relate to this?

    Hi,

It wasnt showing any errors or event logs when it spontaneously 'woke' up from standby... to answer your question.

So, I finally fixed the problem without actually trying to...

Well, I did at first, I tried updating all my video/audio drivers. Uninstalled recent programs...did a system restore... Nothing worked to fix the standby issue...

But then I realized I had a virus, the Virtumonde........... after a whole day of trying to get rid of it, using a combo of Malwarebytes and spybot I nuked the sucker. For some reason, this solved the issue of the Standby...
    Weird...but true
