    Hi folks,

Sorry for this rather newb question...but I recently recieved
two 6970M cards from Clevo. They are listed as Master
and Slave on the box but with BR39257.008 as the bios
    revision.

On the cards themselves they are labeled as BR39257.009
bios revision and when running ATIFLASH.exe I'm able to confirm
    this.

Now the problem I have is that both cards install fine but cannot
detect the crossfire cable. I re-verified my cable on my 4870s
    and it works fine.

I'm unable to flash the stock .008 bios on the cards because I get
an error stating that the rom was not erased in ATIFLASH.exe

Now the question I have is two-fold. Is anyone running the cards
with the bios of .009 in a crossfire configuration? And if so are the bios
different for the Master and Slave card? Or is it the same bios on
both cards and it doesn't matter which is the master and which is the slave?

If it does matter, or if anyone does have the .009 bios for the crossfire cards would it be possible to PM and get me the file?

I'm trying to determine if my problem is a physical one (Connector) or a logical one (Bios)...I've done a fresh install of windowns and the drivers
several times with the same results..always stating that a crossfire cable is not connected.

    Appreciate anyone's thoughts!

    Thanks!

Maybe you might have a 6970m engineer card and the other a 6970m?

If so you luck out, those 6970m are better!
