    Hi y'all

So, I have been having a hard time getting a strait answer to my question relating to two model Clevo laptops, so I am going to copy a little from another post of mine on here as well as a link to said post so maybe I can get some help on getting an answer to my search.

I'm looking for a new desktop replacement laptop for me to do my work on while on the go, and to do serious mobile gaming on too.

The two models I have been looking at are the Clevo P370EM3 / Sager NP9370 or the Clevo P270WM / Sager NP9270. Here is the problem, they each have Pros and Cons that in a way balance out things, so I need your input here.

I do CAD, Video/Audio editing, and PC gaming with video recording. Both can do the work, and the gaming, both offer lots of storage and features in a relatively small frame. So ya, please help me with making a decision.

I know I am going to do a setup with the Top CPU option i7-3940XM / i7-3960X , GTX 680M SLI, all SSD's, The 3D display option, and 32 GB of 1600 Mhz / 1866 Mhz RAM. The RAM and SSD's I plan to install my self, all in all these guts are to balance gaming and work.

As a side question, can either laptop run at full load with one of the 300 Watt PSU's or will I need to invest in a second power brick and the patch box?

Here is the link to the other post.

    Thank y'all.

Everything will run perfectly with what you get provided by the resellers, say you want SLi, then the reseller will provide you with dual 300W PSU's if I am not wrong.

The P270WM will probably be ideal for you for several reasons, but I'll stick with the most noticeable fact: desktop mobo and CPU

Ok, lets say I want to run the P270WM with a setup of 17-3960X with GTX 680M in SLI and three SSD's not in RAID. Using 32 GB of DDR3 SO-DIMM 1866 Mhz RAM. would that all run off of just one of the 300 Watt Bricks, or would I have to get the Dual PSU Configuration?

You'll want to get the dual PSU configuration, a single GPU wouldn't be able to supply enough power to maintain a charge on your battery resulting in high battery and power adapter temps.

Does the same go for the P370EM3 as well, or can that work off of a single PSU better than the P270WM? Also is the difference in performance between these two models is Core numbers and PCIe lane bandwidth from the CPU?

The largest difference is the fact that the p270WM uses a desktop processor which requires a lot more power. The P370 Uses a mobile CPU and doesn't require the same kind of power. The 300w power adapter will be sufficient for it.

The specs for the two CPUs can be found here as well.

Ok seeing the only real difference between the two is the CPU, so my next and hopefully last question would be, is the performance difference/gain from the use of a desktop CPU noticeable enough to be worth it?

I ask because looking at the spec's of both CPU's they in many ways are closely matched except in PCIe controller, Core and Thread count and Cache, and RAM controller.
