    Hello,

I have Clevo P775TM with BIOS Version/Date Prema Mod 1.07.EVOC2, 8.1.2019 and 1080GTX GPU. However the fan profiles in CCC v5.0001.1.27 are not working(even the custom ones). No matter how I set starting/stopping temperatures for the fan it does not matter. It kicks in whenever it wants. I have under volted the CPU but can't do that to the GPU because it is locked both in MSI Afterburner and Nvidia Inspector.

The fan regularly kicks in very loudly and then stops. The thing is it does not care about the temperature. Even at start up when the GPU is around 50C degrees it suddenly goes almost at full speed and them stops. Usually when just browsing the GPU is around 60 and every few minutes it kicks in at high speed for a while.

Any idea if undervolting the GPU will help and how I can unlock that or is there any working version of fan controls of Clevo?

    Thank you

There is alternatives to the Clevo Control Center, check my signature and read on.

60 by just browsing? Something must be wrong. Is it setup as performance mode? If so, GPU holds still 1500 mhz even when it is not needed. Try to use adaptive power mode in nvidia settings and entertainment mode in Clevo Control Center.

Than reset laptop and check GPU mhz. It should be below 1000mhz.

About this fan stuff - it is related to EC. Try to ask HID for latest EC version - it should fix problem. You can also try to use Clevo Control Center 2.0 - it have a bit better fan profiles and option for custom one.

PS. one extra thing u can do to lower temps - try to rise back of laptop by putting there some square or 2 caps beneath machine. It helps and also making typing on laptop more comfortable - at least for me :)

Yes, somehow it was stuck about 1500MHz and changing from nVidia settings did not work until the restart(which should be not needed though). Now sometimes it goes below 1000Mhz and it keeps around 50-54C but most of the time it is 1500 and is about 60,

I am with CCC 2.0 I think and that's the version it says on rollover. The fan control(even the custom one) does not work at all no matter what temperatures and speeds you set there.

I think I am with the latest EC version too, last week I got my BIOS replaced with the latest one from PREMA mod.

Its not CCC 2.0 , Just regular one.

Bios is not EC. You can update bios without EC. Please make sure with Hid that your EC version is latest.

Last thing, something must use GPU So it holds that high MHz. Try to Just run laptop and Hwinfo. If its still 1500 than some software that starts with system doing that . 1500 MHz is not regular and some software force GPU to work this way.

I think they've updated both. However I just updated the Intel chipset driver and now the GPU holds 7-8C degrees lower temperatures. I changed to Clevo Control Center 2.0 which is still VERY buggy but sometimes it let me change the fan profiles so there is some improvement.

I also have the Obsidian Control Station now and I'll give it a try too.

    Thank you
