    Haha just saying. That's the only thing common between the 2, that could be responsible.

    no bro, not wasting my time swapping processors from the old system and repasting since the system is working fine now

    Cache Ratio overclocking has very minimal impact on performance anyway

    Yeah, it's very inconsistent among video cards. I must have gotten lucky because I have tested thoroughly and +600 on memory is definitely better performance than something less with my own GPUs.

    Yeap that is definitely golden.
    Do you know how high your cards are able to go ?

    They start losing ground around +610-615 and around +625 I start getting artifacts and driver crashing, so +600 is pretty much the sweet spot.

    Edit: I haven't tested the GPUs individually to see if one can go higher than the other one. I'm still using the factory paste/pad job from HIDevolution and the temps are decent enough that I haven't felt compelled to try to make them better. I haven't disturbed anything inside of the chassis except memory modules.

    Yup. That's why I shared it. It works on most Realtek audio systems. I am using this on my P750ZM as well.

    one last question, do you use Soundblaster x-fi or do you disable it since you now have those options in realtek?

    I do not have the Creative X-Fi bloatware installed, but @Swick1981 does and it works great for him. So, you should be fine to install it.

    ok cool. was curious since that version of realtek has dts and didn't think it would be worth the install or keep mine installed. I see the rar has sbx, so will install that version as well.

    Completely uninstall the original driver and Soundblaster in Add/Remove Programs. Shut the system down completely, then cold boot into Windows to install the new driver. After the new driver is installed, shut down again. Then you can install the X-Fi software.

    I just did it right before I posted the download, so I know it will work. The DTS feature only works with external surround speakers, but the Dolby works with the internal speakers.

    In other words, do not let the driver installer uninstall the old driver and auto-reboot to install the new driver.

    @Mr. Fox Thanks again for the help. These internal speakers rock. I set them to 2.1. dolby helps a lot.

    @infex

    Hey, I saw MR FOX gave you the audio drivers I gave him!
    I thought I'd let you know that the version you have is the latest version that give you ALL the options that would otherwise be unavailable. A MUCH newer release will be available sooon! J95 is working on it, but you'll just need to wait. In the meantime, you may want to install creative MB5, that worked REALLY well... AND, there are some "MODS" of it and the drivers that you can get that will provide even better sound, if interested! heh

    @Prema
    I know @Mr. Fox told you I was PC-less, but I did get the m18xr2 up & running - FOR NOW. Will need to wait until HIDEvo fixes PC! (SO DEPRESSING, I hate the smell of burning plastic in the morning - VERY unpleasant!) Anyway... IF you happen to have a suggestion on what I could do to minimize that from happening again (once I get PC back from HID), please let me know!
    Thanks,
    Swick

    @Swick1981 I installed what was in download link provided. The version I had previously didn't have the Dolby for some reason, but yours did. Do you happen happen to have a good setting for Sound blaster? or do you run dolby surround with surround from sound blaster? I also set the speakers to 2.0/2.1. If i install creative do i need to remove soundblaster xfi5? I guess i am trying to find the median. Stupid question, is there software that seperates or uses the subwoofer effectively?

    @Swick1981 if possible you can share your xml profile for the soundblaster xfi5?

    Just a random unexplainable failure. Definitely nothing we are new to in computer world. There was nothing anyone could do to prevent it. Defective electronic components usually die early in their life, so if something lasts through the one year standard warranty it's generally good for the long haul (excluding video cards, of course... they are generally the weakest link and the strongest argument against buying BGA filth).

    @Swick1981 does not do any insane overclocking or anything out of the ordinary, and his machine had some stability issues from the beginning. I'm guessing it had a weak capacitor or MOSFET that gave up the ghost, but it was not disassembled for inspection before sending it back to @Zoltan@HIDevolution for repair. I'm sure they will have it fixed and Swick will be back in business in very short order.

    By far, the most failure prone high performance laptop I have ever owned was the Alienware M18xR2... more premature motherboard deaths than I have ever experienced on any other platform. Having warranty for the duration of ownership was the wise thing to do on the M18xR2, as my motherboards on that platform generally lasted me 12 to 16 months, and sometimes less.

    I thought those issues only occurred when the GPU and CPU shared the same board and are super close. Since most gaming laptops have MXM GPU i wouldn't expect those kind of issues. Now we are seeing non mxm 1080 on boards which concerns me.

    How do you get the cpu_mainboard and GPU overclock menus to show on clevo control center I have the same version and mine doesn't show either of those or the "overclock" fan profile.

    I think it was added with the DM3 options as a short cut.
