How is the battery life in these systems? IE gaming wise? regular buisness use(web browsing, Word)? and DVD Movies?

The system I am looking at comes with a 12 Cell Li-ion battery, which from most sites appear to be the standard.

don't expect more than 2 hours of browing
    for gaming: maybe 1 hour - 1hour 15?

Kwakkel's got it nailed. Gaming battery life isn't going to last much more than 1 hour. These systems are built as desktop replacements, and that means there is a massive power drain involved. Look at the battery more as an integrated UPS system than anything.
