So i had to cut my vacation short (more like cut it to half) for certain reasons.. and now im back to playing with my laptop.. and after all this time the red pixel still annoys me when it comes back..
And ive decided a new WUXGA (1920x1200) screen wont do for me.. I decided i want a WSXGA+ (1680x1050) which i find ideal for a 17 laptop like mine (matte prefered but not needed).. and i need a 0-deadpixel waranty since i never want to see a defect pixel on my screen again (ISO 13406-1 norm)..
I already contacted my vendor and a uk laptop screens vendor and my vendor only has the wuxga, and the uk vendor has it, but doesnt ship to Slovenia (were in the EU damnit so whats the problem - they list EU under shipping but for some reason Slovenia is excluded - whatever). Im looking on ebay and nothing with a 0-deadpixel warranty comes up (ISO 13406-2 only..)..

So any info on where i could get what im looking for would be great (Europe preferred of course)..

Sorry to hear about your naughty pixel.
I would have liked a 1680 x 1050 option to. That's what I have on my 20 inch Dell screen, and it suits me fine - considering 1680 x 1050 will display everything even smaller on a 17 incher...
I have not seen a resolution as high as 1920 x 1200 on a 17 inch screen yet, so I'm a tiny bit worried.
My Dell screen is calibrated regularly, so I can just use that for serious Photoshopping anyway - maybe you should look into getting a good external screen instead of changing your laptop screen - it might be cheaper too ;-)

Whell external is not an option since i move it every week.. i just dont feel like lugging another case with me.. this one is heavy enough to be honest (even if its just 100m to carry it from my car)..
