    Hi,

we recently purchased a Clevo D900F but the keyboard gets hot at times, especially on the GPU side. Is it possible to underclock the GPU while its not active? We are using it for protein analysis and not for gaming. It was purchased with a 3 year parts and labor warranty so preferably the warranty should not be voided.

The D900F will underclock the GPU if the power plan is set to balanced, and if there is no external screen connected. At least mine does. Unfortunately Nvidia's drivers have yet to fix this "bug" when connected to an external screen.
The GPU should not get much hotter than 60C even then, and I know the top left corner of the keyboard feels quite hot then, but it shouldn't be any real danger.

Depending on from which outlet you bought the D900F from, you might have to reapply the thermal compound on the GPU. Like redunzl said, when idle, it shouldn't get over 60C.
