Its the alienware area 51 7700 model

    What happened is that....
i took out the 2 HDD that's in it,
plugged it as a portable HDD to another computer,
have the 2HDD reformatted through that computer
and place it back into the alienware

    now here's the problem
when i turn it on, screen just stays blank~
    and that's it!

it wont even boot up anymore :(
i can hear the machine but the screen shows nothing :(
    any way to fix this?

stop making so many threads... (keep it on a few)

if it does not boot up, make sure that theres no CD/DVD's in the drive(s) [this has occurred before in these notebooks]

remove one of the drives and try again

since you really only need 1 drive to install Windows anyways.

then connect the second after a successful XP install

umm... you should not need to use any jumpers for these notebooks, just remove it.

These HDDs should be on cable select by default (without any jumpers).

I am pretty sure its something simple, and you didnt do everything

Does it boot up without HDDs?

If yes... then the HDD cable might be loose or damaged.

If no... then it could be something else hardware related.

it could be that the monitor cable is pinched/disconnected...maybe the screen went bad?

you did take out the hard drives with the computer off right..(not sure if that would cause this issue, but you never know)

hmm... make sure that its not the LCD... plug the notebook onto an external display.

    Then...

Remember to unplug the unit and remove the battery.

    1) I would recommend to reset the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery... it should be under the keyboard area.

    2) I would recommend to re-seat the following:
    - RAM
    - Wi-Fi Card & TV Tuner (remove these if you want)
    - CPU
    - GPU
    - Optical Drive(s)

Something is probably loose or needs to be re-seated.

Remember to unplug the unit and remove the battery.

after i do a light bang on the keyboard -_-

could be... I had fixed a similar issue before on that exact notebook by reseating the Wi-Fi card and making sure that the wires are not sticking out when you cover it up with the keyboard.

i didnt mean the wifi card specifically is the problems... i mean the place that its in.

that place sometimes can cause issues if the cards are not properly seated.
