    Clevo D901C upgrade

    Hi, i would like to know your opinion about upgradind my monster with therse spec:

    Clovo D901C

    CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 2,66 GHz 1333 MHz FSB 12 MB Cache

    Memory: 2 x 2048 MB DDR2 PC 800 MHz

    GPU: 2x NVidia GeForce 8800M GTX 512 MB SLI

    Which D901C Motherboard version, cpu, ram and gpu do you have now?

    - the Q9450 is ok, the Q9650 (3GHz) even better
    - those gpu's are pretty expensive but will make you a strong gaming system!

    Since you are already using q9450 you could go up to x3380 (3.16GHZ).
    The maximum gpu you could use is 280m gtx (depends on the MB).
    I think you could keep one of 8800m and add the 280m and use the 8800 for physics (confirmation needed for this, but the TDP is consistent).
    You can have 8 GB of ram.

    If you have money to do those upgrades (cpu +gpu + RAM) you might be better with selling it and combine the money to buy the D900f with the 480m card.
