    Hi,

I am considering getting the Eurocom 900C Phantom X

but I debating whether to get the XP 32 bit of XP 64 bit

My sales rep says they do not have alll the drivers (for the peripherals, tv tuner, webcam, etc) to support XP 64-bit so they reccommend XP 32bit.

However, I am not configuring with any of the peripherals....SO, in your anyones opinion do you forsee any problems with getting XP 64bit?

Couldnt I just find drivers in the future anyways?

I really want to use over 3GB of Ram....at least have the option to in the future.......

    your thoughts?

You might also want to consider Vista 64bit since Vista has better driver support.

Depends if you are going to get 4GB of Rams then it will be 64bit for you. The only problem i got is that i can't install Ghost recon advance warfighter 2 on 64bit vista.

I strongly recommend not installing XP x64 bit for the sole reason that there is limited driver support for it. Many of the components in your notebook, such as the webcam, media card reader, and a few other things will not work. If you want a 64-bit OS, then get Vista x64.

I would have been specific, but I don't own a D901C so I am unable to clarify. It's fair to conclude that without driver support from Clevo that certain components will not work. I do not recommend using unsupported operating systems.

I wouldn't use x64 Vista for the simple fact that most programs still use x86 or 32 bit.
