If there are any updates for this, please post here or provide links to petitions for it.

I hate my 7970M with a passion and believe it was defective from day 1. Anyway, looking to upgrade to a 770M personally. Good luck to those who are working to make Clevo's upgradeable. Otherwise these machines are no better than Asus.

    Mythlogic experimenting.

And heard through the grapevine PREMA is getting a 780M to tinker with.

If you thought it was defective why not return for repair?

No point in hating hardware. Try the latest drivers up or send it in for repair.

I think Zymphad means 7970M is defective from the manufacturer which is what I do believe, too.. I had that GPU in my 170EM for about 8 months, tried different drivers (beta, official, new, stock) and want to say I had sad days and very very bad experience with it, that's why I switched to dual GTX 680M in P370EM3 and since then my life has changed, srsly.

Whatever, let's back to our thread, for now and from what I'm reading Prema is still working to mod a BIOS that will make GTX 7xxx work with HM and EM Clevo machines so it's NOT working for now, maybe later..

I think the only thing that lacks on the 7970m is its poor driver support. I will never buy from amd again...

If Prema does not see your post here you will need to send a private message (you need 5 posts before you can do this).

Or you can try contacting Prema here.
