    just was wondering if you can help me identify what clevo models are these 680m heatsinks for and how much do they usually go for? Thanks!

    You could have asked, we sold you the card ;)

    They are standard heatsinks for a 680m for a P150EM/P170EM

    On the open market as a set they retail for around $50'ish USD.

    All clevo heatsinks for the same model look the same from that side and perform the same really, it comes down to the placement of the thermal pads.

    why don't they ever use copper AND aluminum fins? we know combine they are the dynamic duo.

    It's incredible on NBR, that's the last option the users opt for it seems. The resellers, the builders, OEMs are always stupid, random people on forum know better.

    Probably out of production/manufacturing cost. Aluminum is cheaper and intrinsically easier to work with, due to it's lower melting point, but the design of having a copper base plate and aluminum fins may raise production cost (of course I'm just spitballing).
