So ......I feel like the last month waiting for Haswell clevo's has been the longest month of my life and the next week or so, will feel longer than the last month....

Just wondering if you folks new from experience how soon the resellers in the various regions typically start shipping the newly released clevo's after launch?

I'm in the UK so specifically interested here, but it would be interesting to see if worldwide they start shipping right at the same time, or if certain areas get models in stock and out the door quicker

    :D

we never know until the release date and then info is released.
its varied over the years as there been delays due to volcano eruptions and recalls and olympics which have delayed shipments from source.
if NDR rules are still in place then resellers cant say much until its lifted.

we are all waited with bainted breath :D

edit DOH! i meant NDA

aaaaahh I see, I thought it would be a simple case of they start shipping right after announcement give or take a week for stock to arrive.

it can be like that some times but i think when there has been a delay in the past theres uproar and anger towards resellers which is totally out of their hands so they dont release an exact date just in case.

Haha, yeah nondisclosure agreements prohibit announcing it ourselves (resellers in general). And then there are the nuances/variables that may set production back.

But maybe!! This could go on forever.

Clevo will be announcing their new models a couple days following the Haswell release, so sometime the week of the 10th, or early the following week. When those models will be actually available to consumers remains to be seen, of course.

Intel lifts NDA on 2nd/3rd depending on timezone. Clevo ships most models from 15th onwards, so things arrive depending on where your re-seller is located... the W230ST is joining the party only in July, but hey don't we all like to type at late hours. ;)

I picked one up on the 6th (or 7th depending on time zone) - no one else in the UK seems to have stock, PCS had them on the day Intel said the Haswell's would be on sale, so I'm pretty pleased about that. Let's hope the W230ST comes out just as quick

I don't the P150/1SM models are supposed to be out for another few weeks officially. You just got "lucky". :)

    Fair enough..... =)

Interestingly I don't think they where bothering with the P157, Don't get me wrong it looks ok, but that touch pad "tribal" thing just puts me right off, if it where not for that, I'd have preferred the P157 - especially with the 2 HDD slots and 1 Msata.

It will be great to see your review, I look forward to it :)

Another thread says that the P150/1SM are available, just Sager haven't started to sell them yet I think.

mysn had stock on the 2nd on Haswell launch day, both the P150/170SM and the P157/177SM which no one else has yet in Europe anyway. I'm holding off on a P157SM though for a few weeks until the XMG logo touchpad is available which looks cool, better than the tribal thing.

This sounds great! wish I'd known!

the P150's have been available in the UK since the 2nd yes, but the delivery time means the earliest order should be shipping this week or next?

    - hence why I made a special effort ensure I could collect mine :)
