you should not need a service manual for salvaging those standard parts.

you can see how to get to those parts in the basic user manual.

The amilo laptop has a P4M proc and the wireless that I would like to put them in the clevo. I was wondering if they go.
The Clevo processsor and the P4M have the same Socket but one is 130 nm while the other one is a 95 nm.
Are the wireless cards standard in all laptops?

back in the age of P4Ms... the wireless cards were all standard mini-PCI.

After the Core 2 Duo's came out for notebooks, is when the standard changed to mini-PCIe.

After some digging found more informatin about the processors.
The Clevo prcessor is a Northwood on 130 nm. The article on wikipedia says the voltage is 1.3 V.
The processot that I wan to put instead is Pentium 4 Prescott on 90 nm. The voltage is 1.1-1.4 V. The chipsets are different. Does anybody know if the P4 M is compatible with ICH4-M chipset?

The motherboard name is Kapok , Model Intel 852/855GM.

there are two models of the M300...
    - one w/ Intel 852GM + ICH4-M ... that supports Pentium 4-M (0.13 Micron)
    - one w/ Intel 855GM + ICH4-M ... that supports PentiumĀ® M (0.13 Micron)
