My M570RU has been getting angry at me today.
Normally, whenever it gets to very low battery life (like 5% or something) it makes a super loud beeping sound to inform me of this, which is good.
Today, it seems to be making this same sound, but randomly (I have the charger plugged in). It seems to only be doing this when I play The Last Remnant (which I just started today) which I have hooked up to my external monitor (E2200 HD) and I'm playing with an external gamepad (in case that means anything).
Anyway, what the hell is my system trying to tell me? Is it hungry? To hot/cold?
If anyone has any idea about the system's beep codes I'd be glad to hear about it.
Thanks a bunch!

Too many buttons pressed.. (is what my 486 used to beep a lot to)
Is the gamepad hooked up by USB or PS/2? -
I think you can disable the beep if you want.
control panel > system > harware > device manager > view > show hidden devices > non-plug and play drives > beep > disable > restart. see if that can help. -
Thanks,
I don't want to disable it completely because it is useful in case I leave it on and the charger isn't in and it's about to die.
Pushing too many buttons would make sense except I remember it doing it even when I left the game on but was doing something away from the computer. -
Hey, maybe it just misses you and is calling for attention?
-
Maybe it is hungry!
But like the others said, it probably is too many buttons pressed. Easily resolved. -
Is your BIOS up to date? Keypress/keyboard issues (quite possibly the issue here) might be fixed in later BIOS updates.
-
I don't believe it's a keypress/keyboard issue (I know what this one is and I'm fairly certain the beep I'm talking about is louder and slightly-different sounding) and as I mentioned earlier, it occurred even when I had alt-tabbed out of the game and wasn't using the computer.
Not too sure about my bios being up to date or not nor am I too sure about how to find that out/update it. -
There are some people who know about this here. I only remember (because it happened to me too) that it was something about needing up-to-date KBC firmware. You can also work around it by pressing Fn + 1 for full-power fans.
Don't ask about the why's and wherefore's, I just vaguely remember cleverer people discussing it on here. -
I don't believe the Fn + 1 works to give my fans full power (I just tried it and didn't see any noticeable difference) and I also remember when my laptop first came out (the M570RU) there was a discussion about how regular Clevo fan controlling methods didn't work.
