    Clevo M570RU Windows problems startup

    I shuted down my pc while it was doing a checkdisk now it wont start. After it starts to lod windows i get a blue screen telling me that windows has shut down and i should do check disk... is there a way i can do check disk or enter in to dos mode before it starts? I'm running windows xp

    Try using your windows disk to boot up into a check disk utility.

    ^^ like said.

    get your Windows XP installation CD and autoboot it
    - press R to get into "Recovery Console"

    then in the Prompt, type: CHKDSK C: /R

    then after the scan, look at the summary to make sure there is 0 KB of bad sectors... because if its not zero, then you will have to replace your HDD.

    Thanks. CHKDSK is at 57% and 2 hours have passed. I hope i dont have to replace my HD :S
