Guys, I really want to get a Sager 5750 with WUXGA, but none of the Sager resellers let me choose a WUXGA with ATI X1600. I'm not a heavy gamer and I don't need an nVidia, but I want a WUXGA with 1900x1200 resolution...
However, Clevo M570U from RJTech can be configured with WUXGA and ATI X1600 on their site.
RJTech has picures of a Clevo on their website ( http://www.rjtech.com/m570p.htm), but the logo on the laptop says Sager (maybe, they are just using sagers pics).. So, what kind of logo does a Clevo have on the laptop lid ?? Does it say Clevo? Can anyone post a pic?

Hello f1oyd1an, the Clevo M570U-A I bought came with no logo. Its just a white space where the logo would normally be.
-
would'nt that look weird ? (no offense.. i know its a great laptop)
-
The logo space is blank for any sticker that you decide to use. I have a custom Clevo with no logo or sticker, kinda interesting when people watch me use my notebook and try to find its brand. LOL. Then when they cant figure it out, they ask me "what kind of notebook is that?"
Then I usually answer.. "Well.... it aint no Dell, thats for sure" "Its a custom notebook"
You can just make your own logo (at kinkos) and place it there. I am about to place my metallic sticker logo on to my blank spot. But its fine if you dont have a sticker. -

That's funny; I usually have the same answer - "It's custom" - when asked about my Sager. Nobody knows what a Sager is. -
You're right. It does look a little odd, just having a little white space where a logo would normally be. I don't mind too much, because I care more about the internals than the exterior. Of course, even with the blank logo spot it still looks great.

Well put. I dont care about the logo being blank at all. The build quality and the well engineered internals is what really matters.

Thanks all.. Just trying to list all my options before i make a purchase.. Do you guys know any reseller who sells a Sager 5750/5760 (not Clevo M570U) with the WUXGA and ATI X1600 option ?
-
Only RJtech has such an option for WUXGA and ATI X1600
Typically, other Clevo resellers (like Sager) have the X1600 with WXGA.
Another reseller I would recommend for hits might be Flawlesscomputers.
Give them a call, they are probably your best bet other than RJTech. -
The sticker I have on my clevo/sager from flawless just says stylenote in metalic rainbow color-change letters with black background. Not too flashy, and nicely low-key. I like it's simplicity.
If I were to ever get it custom painted(which I 99% most likely would not do) I thought it would look cool done in the old school commador 64 beige or kahki color with that rougher plastic texturized finish. Then you could have a sticker like the commodor 64 logo but have it tailored to be a variation of clevo-M570U. Maybe like C-64, Clevo-64, C-M570U, or something along those lines as long as it replicates the commodor-64 logo.
I dont know why I think this is a cool idea, but I do. Maybe because back in the day when I saw my frend's commodor 64s, I thought they were really cool and unique or something. It might be an ugly thing to do to the M570U, but it would still be neat. -
Hahaha same here.

It does look slightly odd, but if it bothers you that much you can just put something there. I thought I was going to, but I got used to the whitespace on my RJTech m570U.
Also, I'll just weigh in quick: So far, I've had zero problems with RJTech. The price was unbeatable, the warranty repair of my motherboard was about as quick and painless as I could reasonably expect it to be, and when I spilled Mountain Dew on my keyboard and needed a replacement, Richard sold me the new one at cost. Go with them if you can get over the sticker thing, they're great.
Clevo M570U LOGO ?
