    Hello everyone,

Thanks to the helpful advice of the people on this forum I've bought a M570U-A notebook from R&J tech, but I'm curious, how is the integrated sound card? Specifically, does it offer some form of surround sound simulation like the desktop versions of the Soundblaster X-Fi do?

One of the features of my X-Fi Xtreme Music that I really love is that I can have it simulate surround sound when I am wearing normal stereo headphones. Can the integrated sound card on the M570U-A do something similar? Its not super important to me, I suppose, but I would really love to have that feature on my laptop, which I will probably always use headphones with.

    Thanks,

    Firov

(Note) - I'm not too interested in buying another sound card for it, especially if its external, so you don't really need to recommend that I purchase an M-Audio USB card. I don't want to have to bother carrying around an extra device and plug it in every time I use my computer.

The On-board audio on most notebooks now are pretty decent, especially if you have a good pair of headphone.

You should be able to have a simulated surround sound with 2 channels on the Clevo M570U.

The Intel Azalia comes with that notebook, its got 8-channel ready and should have a good sound manager for you.
