I have decided to purchase a Clevo M570TU Notebook with the following major components:
17" WSXGA+ 1680x1050 Display
Intel Core2Duo T9800 2.93Ghz CPU
4GB DDR3 SDRAM RAM
Nvidia GTX280M 1GB GPU
320GB 7200rpm HDD
I just lost a laptop due to insufficient performance of my laptop cooler pad, and the cooling system in the notebook. I don't want to make that same mistake again.
I've been extensively researching cooler pads. However, I have not been able to find any information on the airflow of the laptop. I have to match the cooler pad to the cooling system of the laptop. In order to avoid pulling air away from an intake vent, or pushing air into an exhaust vent of the laptop, I need to understand how the laptop system works, and I have not been able to find any information on that.
I was hoping that someone might give me some information or diagram on that, and/or suggest a cooling pad that has been found to operate effectively with the M570TU. I appreciate any help that can be provided.

The M570TU has intakes underneath, and exhaust in the rear. Unlike many other notebooks, this has a dedicated fan for the CPU and another for the GPU. Cooling without a cooler is already substantial. I have Zalman NC2000 that I use when at home though. It keeps temps very low, even my overvolted and overclocked 280M won't pass 80C while on the cooler. And it's essential when used on a bed, carpet, or other soft surface that will clog the intakes when not paired with the cooler.

Thank you for the reply, was exactly what I was looking for. The Zulman NC2000 was on the short-list for notebook coolers.

If anyone has any comments on the Clevo M570TU, or related notebook coolers, input would be greatly appreciated.

As long as the inside of the M570TU is kept clean and tidy, and is used on top of a flat surface, it does not need a cooler. However, if you want to buy one, there is a sticky in the Accessories forum that will be of great use in your search.
