    Hi guys,

I have a friend's Clevo M735T, which has a faulty LCD screen that needs replacement. Aida64 reports the panel to be this:

Monitor Name AU Optronics B133EW03 V0
    Monitor ID APP9C73
    Manufacturer B133EW03 V0

    It's a 13.3" LED, Glossy 16:10 1280x800 display.

    My question is:
Are the V1, V2 or V3 fully compatible with V0 or do I need the exact revision to replace the faulty one? Also, I see mentions of the panel being used on the MacBook Air. Hopefully the V0 will also fit the Clevo as originally used.

Any thoughts, pointers, stuff I should watch on eBay or sellers I should avoid? I found two sellers carrying the panel, here are the links.

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/B133EW03-...152?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c788e13e8

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-B133E...318?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item23107f3c46

Does anyone have any good or bad experience with these sellers that cares to share here? Looking forward to any informative replies.

    Best regards,
    Panagiotis

    They both have good feedback.
It has been stressed here when purchasing a screen that you contact the seller to make sure you are getting the exact screen you want before you order it.

    In the descriptions:
Link 1: Note: You will receive a 100% compatible screen. The exact brand and part number of the screen you will receive is determined by market availability

Link 2: You are looking at a BRAND NEW OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) replacement screen this is guaranteed to be fully compatible with the LCD part number or laptop model specified in the title of this listing.

The keyword in Link 2 is "compatible"

If you want a specific model, contact the seller first to make sure you get that model.

Both sellers appear to have a great feedback score. It's best that you contact the seller to see which model, specifically, they expect to ship to you. As Hutsady said, market availability/inventory determines what you receive. Some people have put in orders only to be miffed by receiving a screen that, while still compatible, was not the version of the panel they wanted. The version revisions you listed should still be compatible with your model, but only trial (and possibly error) will tell you for certain, unless someone with experience can tell you definitively.

Thanks for your replies, guys, I will take them into consideration.

I solved my issue, by luck, without buying a new panel. I had a MacBook Air for parts given to me, and after checking the specs, the screen seemed like a fit, albeit not the exact part number or manufacturer, but I tested it and it works great. So, if my friend insists on a new panel, I'll contact those two sellers, but at least I know that other panels work as well, so I may not be so adamant regarding the specific model and revision.

I was searching for the AUO panel, as it was what the laptop had originally, and AUO panels are known for their high image quality, at least in my eyes, in some Lenovo laptops I've seen them being used. But now I know that the panel originally used in the MacBook Air I had is almost as good, and works like a treat, which is a joy.

For reference, in case someone else is also interested, the panel of the MacBook Air I used is:

    Chi Mei N133I6-L01
    13.3" LED 1280x800 30pin Glossy

and it was an exact fit, even to the 4 screw hole positions.

So, thanks again for your replies, they might come in handy in any future panel purchases I might need to make.

PS: I love how the specific Clevo model is easy to disassemble, and change parts. Having dealt with HP Pavilion and Sony Vaio laptops before, I was overjoyed with the simplicity of design. +1 to the manufacturer.

    Best regards,
    Panagiotis

Happy to help out. If you're just after a new screen to get one that works instead of specific features/specs then those listings will be fine. Hopefully your friend will be fine with what you've done and you can save the money.
