    Hiyah guys and girls.

Been looking at this laptop http://multicom.no/SystemConfigurator.aspx?q=st%3a10552099%3bc%3a101151%3bb%3a0%3bfl%3a0

    Thats a Clevo, right?

    Anyways, got some questions :)

These are the speccs I'm looking at:
    - INTEL CORE 2 DUO P8600 2.4GHZ 1066MHz 3MB cache 25W
    - 160GB SATA 5400RPM 2.5"
    - 4GB 800Mhz DDR2 (2x2GB)
    - 14,1" Widescreen WXGA+ 1440x900 skjerm (glossy)
    - Nvidia Geforce 9400M GS.

What are your experiences with Clevo, and mainly this computer? How is the fan noice? That's probably my main concern, I really don't want a noisy laptop.

I'm mainly going to use it for my studies, but I guess some gaming too.

Will this laptop satisfy my needs?

Thanks in advance for any answers :)

But according to Clevo it should be 9300M GS, not 9400M....
I´m thinking to get a Clevo 14.1" Puma platform. :D

Hmmm. Is the Norwegian importer of Clevo lying? :O

Says 9400M GS on their website. How big is the difference?

Maybe just a mistake. Check the Manual here.

    M740/760T means GM45+X4500, M740/760TU means PM45 + 9300MGS.

I just ordered that computer :) Dont know anything about Clevo, so i just hope its good enough. Dinside Data is going to test more of the new multicom computers after the summer, i didn't bother waiting for the review.

Just got a mail from multicom, they had listed wrong as you said, the correct one is 9400M GS.

    I went for a 7200RPM hd.

    Nice, gz man.

I don't think I'm going to bother waiting for any tests either. Need it before school starts, 13 august.

    What processor did you get?

And I suppose you mean 9300M GS, not 9400M GS? I asked them today, and they confirmed that it was in fact 9300M GS.

If I choose Intel® Turbo Memory 2GB and 4GB 800Mhz DDR2 (2x2GB). Will I get a total of 6bg of ram? I dont really understand how this works.

doh, i copied wrong, 9300M GS is correct. :)

    INTEL CORE 2 DUO P8600 2.4GHZ 1066MHz 3MB cache 25W
I thought about P9500, but 718 NOK is too much for that little upgrade, i think.

Turbo Memory is not RAM, its just some extra memory in a card slot that does some kind of magic work. Its not ram.
I'm using XP, so i dropped that one.

Hi. I just ordered this laptop yesterday. They didnt get the barebone in before next week probably. I guess you havent got it yet either?

One thing i noticed was. After correcting the 9400\9300 mistake, it still said that the grafics card could borrow memory from the system memory\ram. After i asked them about this they said it probably was a option that has been removed.

Whats that all about? I would like that option. Im just glad i found out what type of computer this is so i can read a bit about it.

The laptop is ok, but win xp sp3 won't work, so i got to use vista.. bah.
    Sucks.

Sometimes it suddenly turns itself off.. dont know why.
Testing the battery atm, dont think it's too good.

    The rest works ok.
