    Hello GUYS,

i have some issues with my new latop which i bought it from ebay as used.

    Model: Clevo M77S 17"
    mainboard nr: nkm770su8k00209
    6-71-m74so-do4.gp

Sometimes the laptop turns on and boot into windows.
But sometimes it is not booting.

I opened the Notebookcase and controlled the Fan.
The Fan do not turn on. I measured the voltage on the red and black pin when i push the power on keytop and leds lights up and dvd is searching...i measure only 0,5Volts. I think the fan need 5Volts ?

Why do not the fan starting to run during the power post process?

The cpu and gpu getting very hot, but i shuted the notebook down to not burn it.

is it possible that the guy flashes the wrong bios or this bios do not turn the fan on ?

Would be happy if you have some information for me to solve the problem?

might be that i reball the gpu? i am confused why the fan do not goes on during the power on phase ?
    TIA

    Okay Guys,

i disassembled the notebook again and found out that the notebookcase
fits not rigid in the case. The Mainboard is round a bit 200 mm x 200 mm small and placed into the left corner of the bottom-case which is 450 mm x 300 mm case, i mean a lot of space from the mid to the right side. The Mainboard is only half size of the case is..

You twirl the case on a easy way if you press on the bottom right corner of the notebook, you can see that the upper left corner of the notebbook mainboard moves a little bit.

Exactly on the upper left corner is the power supply whre the 19 V jack is.
I am thinking that one smd part in the powersupply has not full contact to the motherboard. I found also out that 20 mm from the power input is mounted a 10 x 10 mm^2 chip it is called SC452-0828-CC12488-1.
Is this the powerswitch or maybe the Bios?
I do not know, but it seems that in the moment of moving the Notebook (not softly) the notebook fries and reboots.

At the moment i assembled it fix and the Notebook starts when i press 2-5 times power-key.
That means that something of the soldered parts or part loose the contact.

Should i catch may fan-heater and try to heat the power area up?
To resolder, i know that i am a rookie.
Yesterday i rund windows xp on it and start 3 times the 3dmark06 benchmark programm to look if the problem lies on the GPU-Craphic card. But it runs very well the fan colled the cpu and gpu not over 63 GRAD CELSIUS, the processor was round about 55 Grad Celsius.

I mean when it runs it runs whitout problems. But when i sut it down and the notebook cools down and then i try to start again it is possible that i need 2-6 times to boot this machine.

I would be happy when you guys out there would give me a idea?

Or should i dissassemble again and makes some pictures.
    TIA
